About Capitol Homes
Family-owned Capitol Homes is an award-winning custom home builder serving Florida’s Southwest Coast, including Port Charlotte, North Port and Englewood.
Capitol Homes has a multigenerational historyof building quality homes at reasonable prices.
Having grown up in the Englewood area since the age of two years old, Scott was building homes from an early age, as his family members were in the construction business. After attending the University of North Florida's Building and Construction program, Scott returned to his hometown to continue the innate legacy of making his community home to others. Scott and his wife, Kate, a native Floridian, are raising their two young children here, and his parents run a nearby medical practice, making this family tradition truly multigenerational, with plans to continue the tradition for generations to come.
Our team’s extensive experience, passion and expertise has resulted in Capitol Homes receiving several home-building awards for Best Kitchen, Best Master Bath, Best Interior/Floor plan and Feature Award for Best Master Suite. We won these awards for homes that are less than $450,000! Our customers can - and do - attest to the quality and professionalism we bring to every job. That’s why the referrals made by our happy homeowners have helped in a tremendous way toward building up Capitol’s business and reputation.
Capitol’s deep-rooted commitment to our community and our clients extends past a worry-free build process - we’re dedicated to creating lifelong value for our clients through actively listening and understanding what they desire for their home and delivering value through innovation and integrity that exceed their expectations.
As part of Capitol’s commitment to the community and the beautiful natural environment that surrounds our homes, we are dedicated to wildlife preservation and responsible relocation. We work diligently with State and County Environmental Protection Division to collaboratively generate solutions that have the smallest environmental impacts during and after construction.
